Canada

Canada is a country in North America made up of ten provinces and three territories. It is the second-largest land mass and has a population of 40 million. It was inhabited solely by indigenous people until the 16th century when the French and British settled along its Atlantic coast. Canada was formed in 1867 after the union of three British colonies. It increasingly grew more independent from the United Kingdom until it cut all remaining legal ties in 1982. Today Canada is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy with Justin Trudeau serving as prime minister and English and French as its official languages.
