British Airways

British Airways is the UK’s flag-carrier airline. It flies to more than 170 destinations in more than 70 countries, with more than 280 planes in its fleet. BA was created in 1974 as a merger between four groups: British Overseas Airways Corporation, British European Airways, Cambrian Airways and Northeast Airlines. In January 2011 it merged with Madrid-based Iberia to form the International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG). It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 index.
