DREWE Dr Christopher David died peacefully on 30th June 2024, aged 81. Christopher, of Cross Farm, Drewsteignton, formerly of Castle Drogo, was born in 1942, became a doctor in 1968 and together with his father donated Castle Drogo and the surrounding estate to the National Trust in 1974. He married Cicely Jacoby in 1998. As per his wishes there will no service to mark his passing. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed.
EDDY Alison Claire (née Stanley-Jones) died peacefully on 27th June 2024, aged 51. It is with great sadness we announce the death of Ali, much-loved wife to Ben and mum to Lily, James and Archie. Funeral to be held at 4pm on Friday 12th July at St Peter’s Church, Bridge, Canterbury.
GLADSTONE Felicity on 25th June 2024, died peacefully, aged 98. She was much loved by so many as a sister, foster mother and granny, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt and friend. A service of thanksgiving will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Crockham Hill, at 2.30pm on 30th July 2024, after a private cremation. No flowers. O’BRIEN Rothy (Pauline Ann, neé Rothwell) died peacefully at St Mary’s Convent & Nursing Home, Chiswick, on 26th June 2024, aged 91. A dinner was held by Harcourt Chambers on Saturday 6th July 2024 at the Royal Over-Seas League in St James’s, to mark the retirement of June Rodgers after more than 50 years of practice at the Bar as a member of Harcourt, Recorder and Chancellor of the Diocese of Gloucester 1980-2020.
