UFC fans couldn't help but notice that Michael Chandler was left OUT of the promotion's first official trailer for his clash with Conor McGregor.

The former three-time Bellator lightweight champion will welcome the MMA superstar back to the octagon on June 29 in the main event of UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

The first teaser trailer for the Return of the Mac was released on Sunday, with the UFC sharing it on their YouTube and social media channels.

But they didn't include any footage of imagery of Chandler in the 30-second clip, in which the silhouette of McGregor paced menacingly up and down in a green spotlight as the 'Foggy Dew' played in the background.

The absence of the fan favourite didn't go unnoticed by fight fans, one of whom said: "They didn't even put Chandler in the trailer."

Another said: "Dawg, they said, 'We don't even need Michael what's his name for the promo.'"

And another said: "Let's find Chandler in the trailer, he's somewhere hiding."

One remarked: "Producer: McGregor. Director: McGregor. Actor: McGregor."

Another chimed in: "This is how they should've announced it at UFC 300."

One mixed martial arts fan, however, insisted Chandler hadn't been snubbed and that the UFC were merely trying to hype up McGregor's long-awaited cage comeback.

They wrote: "Obviously there will be one for Chandler as well.

"I mean it would be absurd to put him in a teaser with Irish music, full green teaser."

'Going to get hurt' - UFC fans all say same thing after Conor McGregor has final night out before Chandler fight camp

McGregor, 35, hasn't set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg nearly three years ago in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

The former two-division champion will bid to pick up his first win in over four years when he throws down with Chandler, who he plans to take out with his once-shattered shin.

In a recent interview with James Corden, the Irishman said: "I am Terminator now.

"I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle.

"It’s unbreakable.

"I wish for and I will work for landing this kick with this steel bar in my leg against an opponent and getting them out of there."

Chandler, however, plans to send McGregor into the final fight of his UFC contract on a three-fight skid.

The 37-year-old told The MacLife: “I still see the outcome the same way.

"I think I'll put him on his back foot in the first round, make him second guess himself in the first round, start drowning him in the first round and finish him in the second.

"I don't know if it's gonna be a KO or a choke.

"Make him give up his back, his neck but I think it can be a second-round finish.

"And that has not changed, that is my Mystic Mike prediction.”
