THURSDAY, 7/4

4th of July Flotilla

• When: 10am
• Where: Lake Jacksonville Dam

Decorate your boat and join the flotilla! Participants will line up at the dam just before 10 AM and proceed clockwise.

Fourth of July Celebration at Lindsey Park

• When: Gates open at 3pm
• Where: Lindsey Park, Tyler

Free mini-golf near the Kids Fun Zone from 5 to 8 p.m. Find the Flag Hunt – Find a flag somewhere in the park and turn it in for a prize! Stars and Stripes Parade– children can participate in a march around the park led by the Tyler Police Department. All participating children are asked to report near the Kids Fun Zone at 7 p.m. The fireworks show will begin after dark (around 9 p.m.).

Independence Day Festival at Bella Vista on Lake Palestine

• When: 3pm
• Where: Bella Vista, Flint

This year, our community was struck by devastating storms that tore through Lake Palestine, leaving behind a trail of destruction and hardship. Homes were damaged, businesses were affected, and many of our neighbors are in urgent need of support. To help those impacted, we’re dedicating this year’s event to raise funds and provide aid to the tornado victims. Proceeds from ticket sales at this event and any extra money raised during the event will go directly to relief efforts, helping families rebuild and recover from the aftermath of the storms. Join us for a day of fun, food, and community spirit. Enjoy the lake, music, delicious food, and a fireworks show to end the day—all while making a difference in the lives of those who need it. FREEDOMFEST

• Where: 507 S. Pecan, Nacogdoches

This year, we are excited to give away 1,000 free t-shirts to commemorate the 4th of July. These shirts are a fantastic way to show your patriotic spirit and celebrate with family and friends. Come and enjoy a day filled with fun activities, live music, delicious food, and a dazzling fireworks display that will light up the night sky.

City of Lufkin July 4th Celebration

• When: 5pm
• Where: 402 Zoo Cir, Lufkin

Join us for an unforgettable July 4th celebration in the heart of Lufkin! This family-friendly event kicks off at 5 PM with an array of activities perfect for all ages. Delight in an assortment of food options as local food trucks serve up delicious eats. Explore a variety of vendor booths and enjoy live music setting the soundtrack for a festive evening. As dusk falls, gather around for the highlight of the evening—our spectacular fireworks show. Join us for the countdown and watch the sky light up in celebration of our nation’s independence.

Fourth of July Extravaganza

• When: 5:30pm
• Where: Kilgore City Park

Enjoy live music from Dallas party band, The Jukebox Heroes! Snack on some delicious food options from various local food trucks. Then at 9:15pm, be awestruck by the legendary Kilgore Firework Extravaganza! The fireworks will accompany a simulcast on KDOK 105.3 FM and 1240 AM. Also. the Kilgore City Pool and Lazy S Splash Ranch hours will be extended ‘til 8:30pm.

Fireworks and Freedom Celebration

• When: 6pm
• Where: Longview Convention Complex - Maude Cobb

The City of Longview will host the 2024 Fireworks and Freedom Celebration on Thursday, July 4, featuring an outdoor, free-to-the-public concert by soul-blues rocker Tommy Castro & the Painkillers. Texas natives Taylor Branch & the Lone Star Ramblers will open the concert. Each year, thousands gather at Longview Convention Complex, 100 Grand Blvd., for the free concert, fireworks, and other activities including a car show, petting zoo, cornhole tournament, hot dog eating contest, trivia contest, princess meet-and-greet, and more.

4th of July Celebration

Event starts at 6:30PM with food and fun. Live music starts at 7PM. Fireworks will start at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs and join this free event for our community.

For one day only, Friday July 5th, join us in Athens, Texas for the inaugural edition of Thunder Over East Texas! Featuring Gulf Coast Wing’s performance of The Navy Trains for War, plus warbirds, formation flights and more! Tour vintage planes, meet the pilots, and get your hands on the coolest airshow swag! Two legendary CAF warbirds will be offering cockpit tours and Living History flights. For the ultimate warbird experience, book a flight on one of the classic planes – prices start as low as $150!

4th of July Firework Show

Join us for a fun-filled Saturday featuring bounce house, face painting, lawn games, and more! Enjoy delicious treats from Funnel Cake Playground. Happy Hour from 1pm-4pm beers and frozen margs.

Independence Day Show Out

• Where: Palestine Municipal Airport

Classic and Modern Car/Bike Show. Sat July 6 9-1, free parking and entry for spectators! Live music by CashFord Band, vendors, food and awards for 1st-3rd in each category!

Warbird Expo

• When: 10am-4pm
• Where: Tyler Pounds Airport

Join us on Saturday and Sunday, July 6th and 7th, in Tyler, Texas for the Warbird Expo at Tyler’s Heritage Aviation Memorial Museum. The B-25 “Devil Dog”, the P-51 “QuickSilver”, will join the Gulf Coast Wing warbirds and more on the ramp. Tour the vintage planes, meet the pilots, and get your hands on the coolest airshow swag! Take a ride in one of these legendary planes! SNJ/T6 Texan: Step into the same plane that trained thousands of WWII aviators, or take an aerobatic flight in the “Pilot Maker.” Navy JRB Expeditor: Come aboard to see how a flag officer flew in WWII, or fly the whole family in VIP comfort.

Join us at Lake Murvaul on July 6th for our 2nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration! We’ve added a new event to the lineup - a floatilla around the lake, with a boat parade and prizes for the top three entries. 1st place wins $500, 2nd place wins $300, and 3rd place wins $100. Come decorate your boat and join in on the fun before the fireworks at dark.

Join us for a spectacular Red, White, and Blue lakeside celebration, a fun-filled day of patriotic pride and community spirit! Food Trucks: Savor a variety of delicious food from some of the best local food trucks. Whether you’re craving burgers, BBQ, or sweet treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Corn Hole Tournament: Show off your skills and compete in our exciting Corn Hole Tournament. Cash and other prizes! $20 Entry Fee. Registration closes at 3:30, with games starting at 4. Double Elimination tournament, 1st to 21 points wins the round, Limited to 20 participants. Patriotic Pyro Musical: As the sun sets, get ready for a breathtaking patriotic pyro musical. Watch the sky light up with dazzling fireworks perfectly synchronized to music, creating a magical and unforgettable experience. Admission: $5 per adult. Parking: $10 per car.
