Carson P I don't see many even knowing of this movies existence and it's probably emmerichs least popular movie but what I've heard from those who saw it i heard it being pretty offensive the dialogue sounds childish and bassically the event was turned into some coming of age story which could have been good considereding the last ones getting Oscar nominated like Belfast and Spielberg fabelmans but this as it's bordering around a real life event of a protest it's kind of not a good combination and the film is barely accurate except with showing the protest scene which the film shines and it has the looks of a good film that can be made for viewing as high drama art but doesn't get close to it and fails at least emmerich did midway which was much better and the main achievement for emmerich to do an awards glory film and earn cinemetic respectability this film on the other hand is not good and is just a missed opportunity C- Rated 2.5/5 Stars •  Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/24 Full Review David B Far inferior to the 1995 film of the same name in every possible way. This being said I actually really enjoyed this movie a lot. Knowing that others faced the same issues and did what they had to do makes me feel proud of what everyone did at Stonewall. It is because of the courage and bravery of those stood up for what they felt was right that I am able to live my life gay and happy without the fear of being cast out or beaten for being me. This is a amazing movie and recommend it to everyone. It might be 2023 but there is obviously a lot of hate still in the hearts of many just look at all the terrible reviews.
