Suzette Smith Bitch Media Kaufman has created a very smart movie, and I ended up liking it for what it was. It is not a heartwarming romp. Juan N What I find interesting about this film is that while The Mask and Scott Pilgrim are excellent examples of live-action films that feel animated, Anomalisa is an animated film that feels like a live-action film. The puppetry and stop motion were beautifully done, at times moving with such weight and complexity of motions that if I blurred my eyes I could've believed it was live-action.
