Tyler Spence is a master's student studying journalism at Indiana University and a fellow at the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism. Tyler also served as news editor for the Indiana Daily Student in the spring of 2024. Originally from Huntington, West Virginia, Tyler received his undergraduate degree in journalism and public relations from Marshall University. Tyler previously covered city hall and local policy for The Herald-Dispatch and served as executive editor for Marshall's student newspaper - The Parthenon.
