Stephen Ashcraft

Stephen ‘Steve’ Ashcraft, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 5, 2024. Steve was born on February 8, 1957, the fourth child of the late Richard Francis and Margaret Mary (Noone) Ashcraft.

Steve graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 1976, and soon thereafter started working for Engineered Models, Incorporated, where he worked for 43 years. He earned numerous certifications as a Master Welder.

Steve enjoyed being outdoors working in his flower beds and garden. He also enjoyed cooking and shopping. Steve loved spending time with his family.

Steve was preceded in death by his sister Vicky, and is survived by his brothers Rick and Mark Ashcraft, and sister Kathy Whittaker; three nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with praying of the Rosary at 7:30 pm at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A prayer service will be conducted on Thursday at 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd, Indianapolis, IN.
