Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features only Four(!) matches this week and a show that only runs twenty-two(!) minutes. Once again we’ve got Elevation regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Maki Itoh def. Ashley D’Amboise
My Thoughts: Always good to see Ashley D’Amboise in an Aew ring and on top of that we get the legend that is Maki Itoh in this match too! If I’m honest this one felt a little “off” – which can often occur when styles clash or aren’t as compatible as they could be.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Jericho Appreciation Society def. Mike Magnum, Jack Tomlinson, and Zack Clayton
My Thoughts: I’ve got to be honest, the Jas is getting really old now. And no disrespect to the trio involved in this match...

Match #1: Butcher, Blade and Kip Sabian def. Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno and Mao
My Thoughts: It’s great to see some more Ddt talent making their way to the US and appearing in Aew – after all it worked out Great for Takeshita! Having the trio of Katsumata, Ueno and Mao face three long-standing and talented Aew veterans like The Butcher and The Blade and Kip Sabian made a lot of sense too. Shame the crowd wasn’t into this one though.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features seven matches this week. In a change-up this week, we’ve got Tony Schiavone and Matt Menard on commentary. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Action Andretti def. Nick Comoroto
My Thoughts: If it wasn’t for the fact Action Andretti is on a hot streak you would have expected Nick Comoroto to pick up the easy win, especially considering the size difference. But no, instead Andretti held his own against the big man and there were a number of near falls which amped up the excitement. Eventually Andretti hit a Victory Roll for the 3 count.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features just matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Tony Nese and Ari Daivari def. Lane Summers and Campbell Myers
My Thoughts: This was an incredibly dull opening match and a squash match at that too. Nese and Daivari are, unfortunately, pretty much charisma-free and that doesn’t help their matches in the slightest; and with this match we didn’t even get any words from Mark Sterling to cover that fact up!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Briar and Sage Hale

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features nine matches this week and plenty of Canadian talent. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Skye Blue def. Tfa (Taryn from Accounting)
My Thoughts: This was a pretty decent and competitive opener for this week’s show and both women delivered throughout the match. Great to see Tfa get some exposure via Aew too.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Jake Hager def. Adam Knight
My Thoughts: Adam Knight looked like he might give Jake Hager a run for his money, especially given how competitive the previous match was, but no. This was a squash of the highest order with Hager eventually hitting Knight with a Vader Bomb to get the win!

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which again features eight matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Zyra
My Thoughts: Once again Emi Sakura lets her opponent show what she’s got in a quasi-squash match for Aew. Sakura could totally dominate her opponents week after week but the fact she doesn’t says a lot about the wrestler she is. I’m digging this singles run Sakura is on right now too!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Jake Hager def. Levi Shapiro

Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Sandra Moone and J-Rod
My Thoughts: Well this was an interesting surprise. I expected a squash but no, Rose and Shafir let their opponents put some work in and this came off as more competitive than even the patented Aew “quasi-squash”. Great start to this week’s show!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Rob McKnight
My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Everything Rob McKnight tried to do was totally no-sold by Cage, who eventually trapped McKnight in the King Kong Clutch for the win.

Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Rachelle Riveter
My Thoughts: Nice to see Emi Sakura Open an episode of Elevation, though as usual she’s squashing her opponent. Well I say this is a squash, but this is the trademark-pending “Aew quasi-squash”, with Sakura giving Rachelle Riveter just enough space to get some offence in and not look totally weak. Which, if I’m honest, is always a trait of Sakura’s matches – she allows her opponent, no matter who it is, to show off their skills. Unlike some other people on the roster!

Match #1: Dark Order def. El Dragon, El Cobarde, and Vary Morales
My Thoughts: I’ll repeat Exactly what I said last week… Another win (and appearance in fact) for Dark order on Aew’s YouTube shows. No sure what the plan is for this now-diminished faction but they’re back doing skits about hiring folks to be in the group on Bte, so maybe that’s a good sign? Otherwise, this was your typical Dark Order squash match against enhancement talent.

I do hope House of Black continues given the rumours about Malakai Black at All Out this past weekend.

My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Ruby Soho & Ortiz def. Queen Aminata & Mickey Midas

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Parker Boudreaux def. Casey Carrington

My Thoughts: You would’ve expected a squash match here but that’s not what we got. Victory and Meyers instead held their own, for the most part, against Soho and Blue. I really dig Megan Meyers look – the horror fan in me can appreciate another genre fan for sure!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Parker Boudreaux def. Casey Carrington

Welcome to this review of a special Thursday night episode of Aew Dark: Elevation, which precedes this week’s Rampage And Saturday’s Battle of the Belts 3 show. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Hikaru Shida def. Emi Sakura
My Thoughts: This was a hard-hitting women’s match between two ladies who have the experience in the ring and with each other to make this one look super-competitive. This one went back and forth, with Sakura seemingly getting the upper hand before Shida stole the win in her usual inimitable style!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Mance Warner def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Mance Warner makes his Aew debut on this special episode of Elevation before facing Jon Moxley on Rampage! Nice tune-up for Warner, against an opponent...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Julia Hart def. Lmk
My Thoughts: Julia Hart’s transformation continues… Like last week, ere her character work was at the fore, with a determined walk to the ring, a stalking of her opponent (which I think is Really working for Hart) and a vicious streak that saw her slap the crap out of Lmk. Onwards and upwards for Hart methinks!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Leila Grey def. Jc
My Thoughts: It’s clear Aew see something in Leila Grey, given that she’s had numerous matches now And she’s been lined up as a baddie replacement on the main shows too.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which has a short run time and a four-match card. I could honestly get used to these shorter shows! On commentary this week we have Paul Wight, Mark Henry And Tony Schiavone. Let’s get right into the action, which comes from the Kia Forum (aka The Forum) in Los Angeles, California.
Match #1: The Factory def. Dark Order
My Thoughts: This was a good, but not great, match. The kind of match you can watch without really paying attention to it and still know exactly what’s going on. Can’t believe Dark Order lost to The factory though, it looks like the faction are back to losing match after match, week after week. Do we need an injection of new blood into Dark Order? Probably.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Frankie Kazarian def. Serpentico

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’ve got Paul Wight, Mark Henry, Tony Schiavone And Anthony Ogogo on commentary (4 people! 4!) and another short and sweet 6-match card, so let’s get right into the action!
Match #1: Bear Bronson def. Brandon Cutler
My Thoughts: This was the usual Brandon Cutler match. A squash but one that saw Cutler up to his usual antics and comedy wrestling style. Unfortunately for Cutler Bear Bronson took this one a bit more seriously and got the quick win.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brody King def. Alex Reynolds
My Thoughts: Another quick squash match for Elevation as Brodie King. Well it wasn’t a Total squash, with Reynolds at least getting some good offence in against the more powerful Brody King. And it was power that won the day here.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Anna Jay and Yuka Sakazaki def.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight and Mark Henry on commentary and a swift 6-match card. Let’s get right into the review and the action!
Match #1: Frankie Kazarian def. Teddy Goodz
My Thoughts: Once again Frankie Kazarian gives his opponent space and time to show what they can, all the while being in total control of the match. Kazarian could demolish most of his opponents but the fact he chooses not to is a credit to him
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Ashley D’Amboise
My Thoughts: Ashley D’Amboise is becoming something of a regular on Aew’s Youtube shows and with good reason. She’s acquitted herself well to being an opponent who doesn’t win but doesn’t look like a pushover either. Diamante looked like she had to work a little...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, once again we’ve got Excalibur and Tony Schiavone on commentary and only a 6-match card. Let’s get right into the review… and the action!
Match #1: Nyla Rose def. Charlotte Renegade
My Thoughts: This was Nyla Rose mimicking Lance Archer’s matches and squashing Both Renegade sisters who, despite switching them switching places in the ring, couldn’t mount much offence on Rose – who ambushed them from the get-go and never let up.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Skye Blue
My Thoughts: Julia Hart goes full heel in this match against Skye Blue. About time Tbh. Playing heel allowed Hart to get more aggressive and beat up Sky Blue rather than out-wrestle her. There were a few clumsy moments but this is undoubtedly Hart’s best singles outing yet.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #3: Gunn Club def.

Match #1: Nyla Rose def. Katalina Perez
My Thoughts: We’ve got Nyla Rose filling the Lance Archer role on Elevation this week, quickly squashing her opponent in this one. Nothing much else to say really!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Frankie Kazarian def. Tiger Ruas
My Thoughts: Tiger Ruas returns to Aew in his first match since November last year, in another brilliant display of technical wrestling. Ruas looked badass and Kazarian gave him ample time and space to do so. This was a superb example of Aew stars giving enhancement, or unsigned, talent a real chance to chine on Aew programming and Ruas certainly delivered on that opportunity.
My Score:...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is shorter than last week’s show and, hopefully, features better matches than the squashes and multi-man matches we got last week. Let’s find out!
Match #1: Jay Lethal def. Jora Johl
My Thoughts: This was Ok. Nothing exciting but a solid match nonetheless. Lethal made Johl look good and vice versa, with both men selling for the other and getting the best wrestling they could out of each other. Post-match Matt Hardy continued his anger/disappointment at Ahfo members not winning matches, dressing down Johl and threatening to “delete” him from the faction.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Red Velvet def. Skye Blue
My Thoughts: Again, another solid if not remarkable match. This was two young, relatively new, wrestlers feeling each other out. This was a bit too short and suffered from the Leyla Hirsch distraction,...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which comes from Chicago, Illinois. We’ve got Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, and Mark Henry on commentary and seven matches to cover. So let’s get right into the action and this review!
Match #1: Bobby Fish def. Robert Anthony
My Thoughts: Well that was unexpected. Commentary gave Anthony props on a “good showing” in Aew despite losing all six of his matches so far… I should have known then that we weren’t going to get a squash match tonight from Fish. In fact, Robert Anthony had a really good outing here – taking it to Fish at points and looking like he was just on the cusp of getting the upper hand. Of course, it was sold as Fish “playing” with his opponent after he got the win…
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Emi Sakura, The Bunny & Diamante def.

Welcome to this week review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the first show in a weeks countdown to the Aew pay per view All Out, which takes place in Chicago this weekend.
Match #1: Daniel Garcia def. Tyler Sullivan
My Thoughts: Daniel Garcia fianlly gets a chance at a win, opening this week Elevation. Looks like he’s going to be sticking around and with some Dark and Elevation matches under his belt he cant start to get a shot at the rest of Aew’s male roster. Somehting I’m really looking forward too… Even if this first match was little more than a squash!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Jora Johl def. Kal Herro
My Thoughts: Jora Johl gets a singles match and is overshadowed by Matt Hardy, whose assholery continues across all Aew’s shows. Johl looked good despite Hardy’s interfrence (or “management”). Thank god. This...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation – the 25th episode of the show (already?!) which is the start of the Aew week… all they need now is a regular Thursday show right? This episode is headlined by a Death Triangle match (on a Dark show?!) which was very nearly overshadowed by the Bowens/Martin opener!
Match #1: Dante Martin def. Anthony Bowens
My Thoughts: Goddamn this was a great opening match. Yes, there were a coupled of telegraphed spots and a few clumnsy looking moves & pauses but for the most part these two put on a proverbial wrestling clinic. Totally agree with Eddie Kingston (excellent commentary as always from Kingston) that these two are the future of prefessional wrestling; both just need more time to finesse… which is what appearing on Dark and Elevation is for!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Varsity Blonds def. Warren Johnson and...
