Richard Linklater - H 2015
AP ImagesBoyhood director Richard Linklater‘s next film, a currently untitled baseball movie, will hit theaters on April 15, 2016.
The Annapurna film, which Paramount will release in North America, stars Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Wyatt Russell and Zoey Deutch. It was previously called That’s What I’m Talking About.
The movie centers on freshmen who work their way through the first year of college life as they try to make the baseball team.
Also opening on April 15, 2016, are Universal’s comedy The Best Man Wedding, Disney’s live-action Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreau and Lionsgate’s Mechanic: Resurrection starring Jason Statham.
Paramount’s Bad Moms comedy, which was previously slated for that same date, has now been moved off the calendar. Leslie Mann was set to star and Judd Apatow was going to produce, but the married couple exited the project in June. Paramount had acquired the project ahead of the Cannes Film Festival in May.
