NBC's "The Office" has promoted Catherine Tate (UTA, Dawn Sedgwick) to series regular for its upcoming eighth season.
LONDON – Former Doctor Who co-star and writer/comedian Catherine Tate, along with Natalia Tena (Game of Thrones) and Laura Haddock (The Inbetweeners Movie), will star alongside Brett Goldstein in British comedy caper Superbob.
The movie details the story of a mild-mannered London postman who finds himself with superhuman capabilities after a radioactive meteor crashes to Earth. Despite his newfound powers, “Superbob” remains shy and unassuming – especially when it comes to women. As he tries to balance the increasing demands of the international community with preparations for his first date in six years, matters come to a head when a film crew arrives to document his day off.
Ruth Sheen (Run, Fat Boy, Run) and British comedian Ricky Grover (Getting On) also star in the movie, which marks the feature debut for Jon Drever, based on his own short film of the same name.

Goldstein and Will Bridges share screenwriting credits, with the producers listed as Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones (Run, Fat Boy, Run and the forthcoming The Harry Hill Movie).
The movie is mounted by The Fyzz Facility, Grain Media and Jonescompany Productions and is shooting in London this month.
Goldstein said: “Every day, as I crush my testicles into a far too tight superhero costume in a Peckham high street, I look at my wincing face in the mirror and gently repeat my mantra, ‘I’m living the dream … I’m living the dream …’ “
Drever added: “I feel so lucky that this story has attracted such a cast of brilliant comic actors and am having the time of my life working them. As for Brett, I grew up with him, and although his testicles are a bit too big for the role, we’re working around them.”

Drever and Orlando von Eisendel founded shortform production specialist Grain Media in 2006, with this movie repping its first steps into feature production.
Jones and his banner Jonescompany have credits including The Usual Suspects, Dirty Pretty Things, Run, Fat Boy, Run and The Harry Hill Movie.
