In March, the studio picked up the rights to Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple. Now the studio has acquired an untitled project from screenwriting newcomer Ashley Bradley to be produced by Green Lantern co-scribe and TV creator Marc Guggenheim.
Guggenheim will produce with his Collider Entertainment partner Alisa Tager.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the project revolves around a young woman who finds out she is the descendant of a legendary detective and is forced to take up the sleuthing mantle.

The project marks one of the first projects set up at a studio by Collider, which launched during Comic-Con 2010. Guggenheim is best known for his TV work – he co-created Eli Stone and was a writer-exec producer on FlashForward and No Ordinary Family – and was a writer on Green Lantern.
Bradley, a relative newcomer to the writing world, was an assistant at management shingle Fuse who last year segued into writing by by selling a spec called Childhood Heroes to Intrepid. She is repped by WME and New Wave Entertainment.
With Marple. Disney is reconceiving the classic elderly Agatha Christie character by bringing down her age and setting her in contemporary times.
