Earl C Godwin

Earl C. Godwin, 96, born 1928, Sorrento, FL passed at home in Dover FL on June 1, 2024, is with our Lord Jesus. He lived in Titusville FL from 1962 to 2004. Served In US Navy and U.S. Air Force He worked 31 years at Kennedy Space Center, Paint Shop Supervisor. Moved to their Dover FL farm with wife Dorothy. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 74 years, Dorothy Rose Godwin, 90, and his son Steven Earl Godwin, 29. He is survived by his sister Phyllis Byles, daughters Diana Godwin Thompson and Sonja Godwin Oppfelt (Walter), granddaughter Heather Thompson Parks (Jeff), great-grandson Koa Parks, grandsons Anthony Lee Oppfelt and Michael Oppfelt (Darcy), great-granddaughters Casandra and Isabella, cousins, nephews, nieces and many devoted friends. Service will be at Turkey Creek First Baptist Church, 4915 W Trapnell Rd, Plant City, FL 33566, Saturday, July 6, 2024, 1:00 p.m. Donations may be sent to James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital.
