MONTH OF July

Spend some time with your people, Virgo! You’ve been on an ambitious quest since May 20, when expansive Jupiter swept into Gemini and your tenth house of leadership and long-term goals. The professional pace may have picked up immediately. And if it didn’t, you no doubt felt fired up to prioritize and get your career on track.

We can hardly blame you for sidelining your social life. This Jupiter cycle only comes around once every 12 years, and this one will last until June 9, 2025. Did you suddenly snap to attention in late May or June? That’s the Jupiter effect! At that time, one of our Virgo friends won a “hackathon” and was awarded a grant to develop an AI-powered app. Another turned his freelance coaching business into an established training program for keynote speakers.

And now that you’ve got those wheels turning, the stars remind you that lofty projects are a lot more fun when you produce them in good company. Collaborations could take flight this month as the energizing Sun visits Cancer and your community sector until July 22. The Sun in empathic Cancer spotlights your eleventh house of groups, friends and collaborations, boosting team efforts as well as your social life.

Even if you’re busy, you don’t have to isolate yourself. Cancer season is an ideal time to mix business and pleasure and to expand your network. With longer days and better weather, why not take your projects to an outdoor cafe and people-watch as you pound out that pitch deck? Or rally a few remote-office friends for some coworking. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your workload, delegate to capable colleagues or outsource to a virtual service provider.

Cancer season’s emphasis on your future-focused eleventh house could help you figure out who your real allies are AND distance yourself from the energy vampires that zap your inspiration. Who in your friend group is just here for a good time, not a long time? While you might be typically (too) eager to step up in the name of service by planning that bachelorette trip or dinner party, the rest of the summer can help you reconsider some necessary boundaries—especially with nebulous Neptune making its annual retrograde through Pisces and your seventh house of social contracts from July 2 to December 7.

With Neptune joining Saturn and Pluto in the outer-planet retrograde brigade, step back and evaluate existing social obligations and relationship patterns. A bond that’s been hard to get a handle on could stop occupying so much of your mental bandwidth. Since Neptune retrograde can actually dispel the fog around a confusing situation, you might finally make a firm decision about whether to stay or go. Retrogrades rule the past, and Neptune’s backspin could bring an ex or an old issue to the surface. Don’t bury your head in the sand, Virgo. During this transit, you’ll have to deal in order to heal.

The July 5 Cancer new moon in your strategic eleventh house will be especially powerful for making new friends, networking or launching any digital endeavors. Your efforts today will build over the next six months, culminating at the Cancer full moon in mid-January 2025. Earn karmic brownie points by playing matchmaker, introducing two savvy friends who you think could have serious synergy.

What do you really, really want, Virgo? The eleventh house helps you align your future aspirations with existing alliances. Said another way, if you want to be the next singer like Sabrina Carpenter, you should hang out with other creatives who can nurture your confidence and get you closer to your dreams. Give your inner circle a once-over and hit refresh on your social circle.

On a deeper level, this Cancer new moon serves up an opportunity to initiate a fresh chapter of self-actualization since the eleventh house highlights our authenticity. As the late great fashion icon (and fellow Virgo) Iris Apfel once said, “You don’t find out who you are unless you work at it.” And that includes the company you keep.

Reminder: Changemaker Uranus has been in Taurus and your expansive ninth house since May 2018. With the liberator planet in this freedom-seeking house through April 2026, you’ve been slowly but surely shedding your need to be in control all the time…and it feels pretty good! You might have even started to attract new friendships that mirror your burgeoning authenticity and confidence over the last few years. The wide, uncharted spaces of possibility are calling you, ready or not.

By mid-July, you’ll be inspired to take more deliberate action. On July 15, go-getter Mars and spontaneous Uranus make an ultra-rare convergence in Taurus and your ninth house of travel, entrepreneurship and personal growth. This could be one of those #mindblown moments when you suddenly rocket to a much bigger level or start playing a whole new game.

Burnt-out Virgo managers might find themselves taking an impromptu solo trip or vacation that can help restore some much-needed peace, grounding and direction. If you’re thinking about a career switch, you could be headed back to pursue some necessary higher education as you get more serious about your future.

Mars and Uranus last united here in August 2022 with the north node (destiny point), as part of a combustible cocktail that brought dynamic change. This will, however, be the last time that these planets meet up in Taurus in our lifetimes, making it a significant release point around old habits, emotional attachments and limiting beliefs.

On a separate note, since the ninth house rules legal matters, you might find yourself embroiled in unexpected contract negotiations. Could a long-standing business arrangement be winding down? You usually balk at head-on confrontation, but fear not, Virgo. It’s an opportunity to be assertive, stand your ground and get helpful legal advice that can alleviate some of the stress.

You don’t have to take on the burden alone—especially when Mars moves into Gemini on July 20, immediately forming a harmonious 120-degree trine to powerful Pluto the day after. You’ll be able to call in power players who can negotiate on your behalf or give you some much-needed advice. Mars in Gemini encourages communication and a shift in perspective while Pluto in Aquarius magnetizes people who can help you level up.

This energizing Mars-Pluto trine serves as the backdrop to the potent full moon in Capricorn on July 21—the second of summer’s rare, back-to-back full moon duo in your fifth house of play and self-expression. Get ready, Virgo. This is the follow-up to any exciting opportunities that came your way at the first full moon on June 21. Under these brazen beams, you’re all fired up, and you’ve got something to share with the world. Pass the mic! Maybe it’s just a declaration of joy and celebration. If so, a full moon fiesta or a much-deserved night on the town could satisfy your decadent desires. With la luna in your fifth house of fun, it’s practically a cosmic mandate!

If you’re an artist, performer or homemaker, the creativity-boosting full moon will flood you with inspiration and also draw recognition for your talents. A budding attraction could consummate in a full-blown romance—or at least the talk of one! Since the fifth house rules fertility, this fecund full moon could bring baby news for Virgos of the childbearing set. While emotions could get heated (drama alert!), you’ll be able to speak your truth now.

Take a timeout, Virgo. On July 22, the Sun shifts into Leo and your twelfth house of rest, transitions and closure for a month. You’re ready for a break, especially if you’ve been feeling the pressure of your career picking up the pace.

Are old fears and anxieties creeping into your thoughts? Intense dynamics could reach a fever pitch when powermonger Pluto forms its annual opposition to the Sun on July 23 from your analytical sixth house. One part of you is grappling for control and the other part wants to say “screw it!” and completely let go.

If you’re on the verge of a meltdown, send an SOS to a supportive person right away. Otherwise, resentments that have simmered below the surface could explode in a hostile confrontation. You know those times when you start arguing about, say, who left the dishes in the sink, and it turns into something much uglier (“I never really liked your friends anyway!”)? It’s one of THOSE days. Avoid the temptation to unleash a below-the-belt attack that won’t be quickly forgotten.

With the Sun and Pluto touching down in your health sectors, you may get doctor’s orders to make a lifestyle change. Honestly, just the pressures of modern life are enough to throw off your equilibrium, and if you’re not eating well, resting enough or effectively managing stress, your body WILL let you know. Don’t ignore any nagging aches now. It’s better to be safe than sorry. There’s also a powerful mind-body link, so if you’re having any mysterious symptoms, they could be related to an emotional upset or unresolved pain.

The rest of Leo season invites you to power down in preparation for Virgo season, which begins on August 22. Your imagination will be vivid, making this a great four weeks for creative projects and spiritual renewal. You’ve got a direct line to the divine!

Still, with energetic Mars activating your career zone from July 20 to September 4, it could be hard to relax and relish the soul-searching vibes that the universe is offering up. Balance rest and “go” time by moving your body in ways that are gentle AND invigorating, like yoga, dancing or swimming.

Pay special attention to your dreams and look for insights since your subconscious will be talking to you loudly, especially as healing Chiron turns retrograde in your intimate, deep-diving eighth house from July 26 to December 29. Use this time to process lingering emotions. You could find yourself thinking about a departed loved one or have a recurring dream during this cycle. Perhaps there’s a message that’s trying to come through? If you’re curious, you could speak to a reputable medium or try meditation and journaling to tune in to these subconscious clues.

Time to make a new romantic game plan? When it comes to love, you’re eager to create an inspiring future and explore the world together. A person with vision will be the most attractive companion while love planet Venus is in Cancer and your idealistic eleventh house through July 11.

The eleventh house is the “friend zone” of the zodiac, and you could feel an attraction to someone you never thought of like that before. This zone also rules groups, so the summer picnic or party is fertile ground for meeting fascinating people who will appreciate your quirks (and you theirs!).

If you’re in a long-term relationship, it can be exciting to dream up some new projects and goals. You’ll have the help of action-oriented Mars, who’s blazing through Taurus and your ninth house of future possibilities, expansion and travel until July 20. How about planning a trip abroad for later this summer—or year?

If you’re not on the same timeline or are feeling out of sync, diplomatic Venus can act as peacemaker, helping you get back in alignment. Thinking big and bold can help you break out of a rut. But DO take action on these ideas—taking risks and experiencing novelty will reboot your zest for life and, potentially, for each other.

The tone shifts on July 11, when Venus moves into Leo and your fantasy-fueled twelfth house, reawakening your romantic side. But don’t slip off into la-la land just yet. The twelfth house also rules healing and closure. When Venus in Leo opposes shadowy Pluto on July 12, buried feelings could rise to the surface, taking you both by surprise.

Pluto rules the subconscious, and this Venus-Pluto face-off can turn up the dial on emotional swings. Watch out for a flare-up of your perfectionistic or self-critical tendencies. Deep breaths, Virgo! This friction could pave the way for more honest communication moving forward. Information revealed near the July 3 Mercury-Pluto opposition may play a starring role in these conversations.

For newer couples, broaching the topic of what you both want for the long haul can be anxiety-producing (to say the least). Will you scare someone away if you confess how much you want kids (or don’t want them!) on the fourth date? At what point can you tell them that you have a mountain of college debt or whatever “shameful” secret you’d never advertise on a dating profile? No time like the present to let go of your curated image and courageously lay your preferences on the line.

The July 21 Capricorn full moon—the second of a rare pair of back-to-back full moons this summer—will illuminate your fifth house of pleasure, romance and short-term affairs. A budding attraction could consummate in a full-blown relationship while other single Virgos on the prowl might be in the thick of a dating frenzy. Since the fifth house rules fertility, this fecund full moon could deliver news for Virgos with baby fever.

On July 20, driven Mars moves into Gemini and your goal-oriented tenth house until September 4. Single Virgos might meet someone through a colleague or at a work event.. You could have chemistry with someone older and more established or younger and starry-eyed about your experienced ways. (Gemini does rule youth and curiosity!) Attached Virgos could get serious about where a relationship is headed and whether there’s a real future to pursue.

Power moves ahead! You begin the month in future-planning mode with ambitious Mars in Taurus and your ninth house of expansion until July 20. Could a budding collaborative business venture be on your mind? Maybe the opposite is true. Is it time to unwind an existing agreement and free up more time to pursue other interests?

On July 15, action-oriented Mars will make a rare conjunction to innovative Uranus, giving you the urge to break free from anything confining. Think back to mid-August 2022, when Mars and Uranus last came together. Was there an inflection point in your career plans? Did you have a sudden change of heart about your trajectory then? This mid-month mashup could give you a final cosmic push to take that courageous leap of faith.

By the time Mars joins Jupiter in Gemini and your career-oriented tenth house on July 20, you’ll be super-motivated. Get ready for the pace of summer to pick up, along with the demands. Motivated Mars in this ambitious zone turns up the professional heat through September 4. You may soon be hustling to meet a tight deadline or launch an exciting project. If you’re overwhelmed, reach out to a mentor or an experienced person in your field. You don’t have to figure this out all alone, Virgo!

A leadership opportunity, promotion or well-deserved recognition could bring a crowning moment this month. Be curious about prospects that might come your way over the summer. With Mars and Jupiter in the mix, you might feel the urge to switch things up, jumping at the first invitation that offers you the security and prestige you’re seeking. Before you lean in to that pay raise and elevated title at a competing firm, take this time to really understand if this is the path for you. Beware shiny object syndrome and impulsive moves, but DO vet any interesting offers. It never hurts to explore!
