Last September, my bestie and I decided to jet over to Milan Fashion Week on a whim. But because it was such an impulse decision, we found ourselves scrambling to secure accommodations. We wanted something chic, convenient, and central, which is how we landed on Vico Milano.
This boutique hotel has earned quite the reputation for being a stylish stay in a perfect location—in fact, it’s right in the heart of the city, just a 15-minute walk to the Duomo. With several fashion shows crowding our schedule, we knew this would be the perfect spot to call home for our four-day adventure. I loved Vico Milano for its elevated and homey atmosphere, as well as the attention to detail—from the design to the service. I highly recommend this boutique hotel (there are only seven rooms!) for anyone seeking a truly personal experience in an otherwise bustling city. For my full review of the property, see below.

THE JOURNEY
My friend and I flew Emirates, because they offer daily direct service from New York City to Milan out of John F. Kennedy Airport (clutch!). In fact, Emirates just celebrated its 10th anniversary of the direct flight between JFK and Milan, and I'm always down to celebrate a milestone. The business class experience was an absolute game changer, trust. You get a personalized check-in, lounge access, and a fabulous onboard trip. It’s without a doubt the most luxe time I’ve ever had crossing the pond. I sipped on champagne and executed my full skincare routine in the sky, and if that’s not a dream come true, IDK what is.
THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The moment I walked through Vico Milano's front gates, I was impressed. The lobby has chic green-tiled walls, a statement chandelier, and arched wooden doors that lead to the guest rooms and suites. The decor is so thoughtfully curated, and it was the perfect blend of modern aesthetics and classic Italian charm.
THE ROOMS
Our double-level room had a bedroom upstairs and a cozy living space, kitchenette, and bathroom down below. The striking green tiling from the lobby was also in our bathroom, where we found Aesop products and a Dyson blow dryer (which are featured in each room!). I’ve heard horror stories about Dysons being ruined abroad, so these were major perks for me.
THE AMENITIES
The hotel offers a daily breakfast, with an iconic spread of delicious cheeses, cereals, and yogurt with an array of toppings. I liveeee for a breakfast spread on vacation and this one did not disappoint—the yogurt parfaits were my favorite. They also have a small gym that looks fab, but I must confess I did not use....I’m just not that kind of girlie on vacation!
THE FOOD AND BEV
There’s a speakeasy-style bar on the second floor, where we enjoyed craft cocktails and bites on our first day. If I were to sum up the atmosphere, I’d describe it as “posh Italian social club meets the sophistication of your most fashionable friend’s living room.” The classic Negroni was a standout paired with their charcuterie platter. Get both.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Vico Milano fully exceeded my expectations, and my experience staying there was truly a highlight of my Fashion Week trip! Every aspect—from the stunning design to the top-tier location—was impeccable. Already planning a return visit this summer before I head north on a trip to Lake Como. No, really, it was that good!
Yes, I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain. I also like making things look ~ pretty ~ and can often be found reminiscing on the glory days of Dance Moms season 1.
