Children embody hope for the future. Some are held back, denied opportunities. But we all want the best for our children. We want to change children’s realities. Hope starts here.

Who are we?

Changing Realities is a participatory online project involving over 100 parents and carers living on a low income across the UK. We’re working with researchers, artists and Child Poverty Action Group to document people’s experiences and push for change.

It’s time to listen

We want to ensure the real, everyday impact of poverty and the cost of living crisis is heard in the media, in our communities, and by government. From zines to podcasts to parliamentary lobby days, we aim to amplify the voices of those living on low incomes in as many ways as we can. This website showcases just some of the work we have been doing.
