The Power Plant
The Power Plant, one of Toronto's most established contemporary art galleries, is located in an actual power plant - one that was in operation for most of the 1900s. It's an iconic structure, widely recognized by its smokestack and exterior facade. Situated amidst the tourist landscape that is Harbourfront , The Power Plant is removed from the more concentrated local arts scenes on West Queen West , Yorkville and the Distillery District but each year artists and gallery supporters flock here for the much anticipated fundraiser and art party that is the Power Ball .

We invite families for the special August Long Weekend Power Kids workshop, inspired by June Clark’s exhibit Witness. On Monday, August 5, we'll host the drop-in session from 12 PM to 4 PM, where participants will create unique textile collages, taking home one-of-a-kind artwork to cherish. No registration is required - simply drop in!
Join us for the Cross Circuits with architect Laura Miller to examine the socio-cultural meaning of materials in June Clark's work.
Laura Miller, an architect, designer, educator, and scholar, will offer thoughtful responses to June Clark's exhibition, Witness, drawing connections to the socio-cultural meanings of materials, objects, and spaces of domesticity.
