Poutine Toronto

Poutine Chain set to Unleash Gravy, Curds on Toronto

A new poutine chain called Smoke's Poutinerie is set to open its first location in Toronto next month, upstairs from the Burrito Boyz near Simcoe and Adelaide.

Checking out the menu on their web site, it looks like they won't be holding back. I counted 15 different poutine varieties including the Montreal Poutine (shaved Montreal smoked meat, Kosher dill pickle slices and French mustard on the side), Butter Chicken Poutine (slow roasted chicken breast and spicy curry sauce) and Traditonal Veggie Poutine (rich vegetable gravy, Eastern Township cheese curds).

It seems that the owners are so confident in the uptake of their poutine product that seven locations are already planned, including a second Toronto spot in The Annex and a mobile poutine truck that will be touring the GTA and making appearances at special events.

Check back with us next month as we'll be sure to have a full gravy-induced review once they're open.
