Awin Partner Top 10s – Influencers for Tech & Telecoms Brands

Written by Robert Davinson on 6 minute read

With reviews and recommendations continuing to drive purchases in tech and telecoms, we explore some of the most influential voices across both communities.

If you ever need evidence of influencer marketing’s popularity beyond the worlds of fashion and beauty, look no further than tech and telecoms.

Research from Berkeley Communications shows that 34% of consumers refer to reviews from experts before purchasing a new device, while 44% agree that word-of-mouth recommendations carry the biggest influence on their decision.

Influencers sit almost in the middle - some being genuine experts offering specialist advice, while others contribute massively to generating the initial buzz from which recommendations stem. Hence, there’s now a tech creator for everyone, from your casual gadget buyer to PC aficionado.

In our latest Top 10, we’ve picked a mix of tech and telecoms influencers to provide options for a range of programs.

If you’re a current Awin advertiser and keen to find out more about each of these partners or want to work with them, simply click the link featuring their affiliate ID and it’ll take you through to their profile page on the Awin platform once you’re logged in.

Toasty Bros (703349)

Toasty Bros’ quality PC hardware reviews and custom PC build guides are greatly enhanced by their delivery in creative, informative, and consistently funny posts. US creators Matt and Jackson have amassed a sizeable following on YouTube by catering to all the potential interests, pain points, and thought strands of gamers. Their inquisitive streak means you’re just as likely to see a post about the top 10 budget graphics cards as you are about the success rate of buying 10lbs of them on eBay.

Just Josh (762031)

It can’t be easy to emulate the work of an entire price comparison site with sub-30-minute clips on YouTube. Kudos, then, to US-based Joshua Van Aalst, aka Just Josh, whose pound-for-pound PC reviews include subjects like ‘The Best 14-inch Laptop - We Tested Them All’, and ‘We Spent $100k on Laptops: These are the Best Ones’. Shorter clips are saved for reviews of individual devices and components, which should pique the interest of advertisers looking to position themselves where tech buyers narrow their choices.

Zone of Tech (623129

Joshua Walker, aka Zone of Tech, places a strong claim for being the biggest influencer on the UK scene. Over a decade of content creation has spawned one of the most reliable and informative sources for updates on handheld devices and games consoles. Zone of Tech has a popular follow on Instagram, X, and TikTok, but it’s YouTube where an audience of 1.5 million subscribers gather for dissections of announcements and leaks. The decision to focus on a relatively small scope of topics restricts the news to Apple, PlayStation, Xbox, and Samsung, but it’s a popular commercial decision among sellers of accessories for those manufacturers.

Guillaume Tech (495045

French creator yt_Guillaume has channeled his self-confessed tech addiction into passing his vast knowledge of PC hardware onto a huge audience on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. An adept presenter, Guillaume’s output primarily consists of reviews on individual components and ways of combining them to create a setup on various budgets. He’s a respected voice in the French tech community and regularly turns questions from followers into recommendations, for example, by assessing the best graphics cards under a specific price point.

The Tech Chap (872701

Tom Honeyands, aka The Tech Chap, runs one of UK’s biggest YouTube channels for tech discovery. Whether it’s a laptop, a smartphone, or even a TV, if it’s trending in the tech circles, you’ll probably find a sleekly edited review or an unboxing by Tom himself. The content is consistently positive, operating more as a showcase of the coolest and shiniest new products than scrutinous reviews. Yet, these demonstrations of tech’s shiny side are just the ticket for an audience of nearly 1.5 million subscribers.

Lookfamed GmbH (851297

Now for something a little different. If in-depth technical reviews represent one side of the tech and telecoms influencer mix, Germany’s Reneschmock has his feet very much cemented on the other. His Instagram still contains plenty of tests of products and giveaways, albeit in a way that broadens his audience way beyond the usual crowd. Recent escapades include trials of the durability and accuracy of a Wi-Fi thermometer by using it to cook a steak in a dishwasher, and planting a new iPhone in a vending machine.

MobileAdvisor (792665

Italy’s MobileAdvisor is a one-stop shop for news, comparisons, and reviews on the latest smartphones, packing an impressive amount of information into bite-sized YouTube posts. The channel should be celebrated for focusing as much on the latest from Samsung as it does on lesser-known brands like OnePlus, Honor, Poco, and Xiaomi, creating a draw for European buyers wanting to assess options from across the globe. There are also plenty of posts covering the very best accessories to pair with all devices.

HardwareDealz (380301

Germany’s HardwareDealz is dedicated to finding the best price-to-performance ratio from the latest hardware. Its content is geared towards a cost-conscious audience looking for a new PC or laptop that can deliver value for money. On Instagram, X, Twitch, and YouTube, the channel showcases leading options for gaming laptops and notebooks, as well as individual components for those who’d rather build it themselves. Smartly, the channel also provides a regular update on deals and frequently plugs individual offers during YouTube posts.

MonsieurGRrr (482443

As well as being a go-to destination for smartphone reviews, MonsieurGrr’s channels offer a glimpse at the weird and wonderful accessories to an abnormally digital life, including robot vacuums, home security systems, and augmented reality glasses. He’s become a prolific poster on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, and presents everything in his native French.

SaddyTech (576475)

Italian creator SaddyTech’s YouTube channel is far more than the sum of its parts, representing more of a virtual magazine with its analysis of issues and stories impacting gamers and PC enthusiasts. You’re never far from genuine insight and thought-provoking opinion, with recent topics including security vulnerabilities on Intel processors, the genuine impact of AI applications launched by Microsoft, and key learnings from the latest industry events. It’s a perfect hub of information for those wanting to dive into the finer details of their interest.
