Fellows

Fellows shall be members of the association who are interested in the advancement of psychology as a science and as a profession and who have met the requirements described below.

Fellow status is an honor bestowed upon APA members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology. Fellow status requires that a person's work has had a national impact on the field of psychology beyond a local, state or regional level.

Join the APA Media Referral Service

The American Psychological Association Media Referral Service (MRS) is a computerized database that APA Public Affairs staffers use to direct the nation's news media to psychologists with expertise on a wide variety of timely issues. The MRS database now contains information on more than 1,400 APA members who have agreed to handle press inquiries. Learn more and apply to join MRS.
