Andrea Romano

Hi there! I'm a writer, editor, and creative producer with 10 years of editorial and branded content experience.

About Me

I’m Andrea! I’m a writer, editor, and creative producer in New York City with B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Northern Colorado and an M.A. in Media Studies and Film at The New School.

I began my career as a Web Culture Reporter for Mashable, where I wrote compelling stories about art, lifestyle, travel, food, beauty, e-commerce, and entertainment. My sense of humor and keen understanding of what resonates on social media allowed my work to shine among some of the most popular reads at every company I have written for, including Brit+Co and Travel+Leisure.

At Travel+Leisure, I focused on digital travel during the pandemic, writing some of the most-read and shared stories in the entire history of the site, including a piece about virtual museums through Google Arts & Culture and the powerful impact of virtual experiences that allowed people to travel without leaving home. I have been interviewed as a journalist and travel expert for NPR’s Weekend Edition.

In addition to my writing, I have also worked as a video and creative producer for Bustle and Wild Sky Media, which owns a family of parenting websites including Mom.com, CafeMom, Mamas Latinas, and Little Things. Beyond my editorial work, I have also been a managing copyeditor, project manager, and producer for small advertising companies specializing in audio and video ads.

I pride myself on being creative, quick, witty, and well-informed to create content that sizzles on the internet, as well as finding the best solutions for brands and clients. My background in comedy, theater, and film means that my work will not only be informative and effective but also entertaining for all audiences.
