I finished the first book in 1 day!! That's how you know it is good. I will be reading the second book this weekend. This is written in such an awesome way. All of the characters are introduced in such intricate ways that you feel like you know everything about them. A lot of the times I have a difficult time imagining the characters, but the writers really made this an easy read.

This book is extremely enjoyable and engaging. I could not put it down. I have seen reviews which compare it to the 'Twilight' series of books. I think that this is unfair. I think that it is vastly superior as there is far less of the cliched sentimentality with which the Twilight books bombard us and story is more imaginative. It is also refreshing to have the story told from the point of view of a male. It just feels a bit cleverer than the 'Twilight' series.
If I had to compare it with another series I would select 'Harry Potter'. Like 'Harry Potter', it manages to convince the reader that the existence of a secret magical society which coexists seamlessly with our own is completely reasonable. I highly recommend it.
