About the Author

Kenneth R. Timmerman is a former Congressional aide and investigative reporter, who has published three books on the arms trade and intelligence issues. For the past six years, he has covered the sell-off of U.S. high technology to communist China for the American Spectator. In Congressional testimony in July 1999, he revealed the existence of an ICBM program in Iran known as the "Kosar," helping to spark legislation that imposed sanctions on Russia for transferring missile technology to Iran. During the 1980s, he covered wars in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, and worked for over a decade as a correspondent for top defense publications. In November 1999, he declared his candidacy for the United States Senate in Maryland and was endorsed by prominent members of President Reagan's national security team.

I have followed for some time your excellent reporting on the Mid-East, especially Iran. You consistently provide insights and facts nowhere else available to the public. Your professionalism and persistence make a great contribution to our understanding, to the public debate, and ultimately to our national security. - R. James Woolsey, Director of Central Intelligence (1993-1995)

"Kenneth Timmerman has been tireless in unearthing the facts about the diversion of technology from legitimate commercial purposes to the dangerous military programs of states and organizations hostile to the United States and its allies. For this effort, reflected in a prolific output of articles, testimony, memoranda, and the like, he deserves the gratitude of all of us." - Richard Perle, Assistant Secretary of Defense (1981-1987)

My first Middle East reporting trip took me to Beirut in July 1982, and I've been going back ever since. I've lived in Egypt and Lebanon, have worked with freedom fighters in Iran and Iraq, and been held hostage by Muslim terrorists in a war zone. All of that is the subject of my latest book, And the Rest Is History.

My forthcoming book, Raising Olives in Provence, is a change of pace, a laugh-out-loud account of the south of France from someone who has gotten to know the region and its people intimately over the past twenty years.

Anything by Timmerman is worth reading

Mr. Timmerman, a long time investigative reporter with impeccable credentials has compiled and published the results of his investigations (formerly published in different publications) in his new book, entitled 'Selling Out America.' The collection of his published stories in one volume details the chilling breach of US national security and the connections within the Clinton administration. Also included in this well-laid-out publication are his personal notes and insight into how these dealings have been covered up by US officials, including how the Clinton administration removed government employees that failed to follow the new policy of wholesale appeasement to the People's Republic of China and the media counterattack against the Cox Report and any others who dared to investigate.
'Selling Out America' provides the reader with a clear understanding of how the US policy of engagement with the PRC has gone well beyond engagement and entered the realm of kow-towing to the Chinese Communist leadership.
This book is a must read for the American people as the next US president will either clean up or continue this foreign policy disaster.
As citizens, we can make a difference, in the words of Mr. Timmerman: "Resistance is not futile"

This book is a chilling review of what Clinton is willing to do to raise money. His ties to the Communist Chinese is extremely well documented but unfortunately, almost completely unreported by the national media. It is noteworthy that Clinton had full knowledge of the technology transfer to China, and did nothing to stop it. Bill Clinton will probably go down as the most corrupt President America has ever had, the the negative effects of his relations with the Chinese will be felt for generations to come. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in knowing the truth about Clinton's fund raising practices, and the rewards to those who "donate."
