I have read Dr.Minkin's book on menopause. It was excellent.I passed it on to a friend.
I took this book out of the library.I found it most informative on general female health as well as sexual health.
Every doctor has their own opinions, which can come thru in their books.
Dr.Mary Jane Minkin is a rare gem.I have been a patient for 37 years and am lucky for that.

I borrowed the 2005 edition from my local library for further medical information and to dispel rumor. The medical information offered is straightforward but I found the author's habit of inserting her own opinions off-putting at the very least. A judgmental tone is not appropriate for this material. Use the book as a jumping-off point for terms, and try other literature for a broader-minded scope of reference material.
