This book is awesome! I have foster children who are tweens and teens! It gives a great visual of how to act and speak in daily social activities along with formal engagement. I will definitely keep as a go to as I encounter more children.

A concise, thorough guide for teens (and beyond!) on manners and why they are important. Nowadays many people think that manners are old fashioned. But the measure of a person in whatever walk of life is how they treat and communicate with the people around them whether classmates, friends, dates, family members or co-workers. I highly recommend this little book for teenagers as well as parents of young children who would do their youngsters a huge favor by teaching them good manners at an early age.

I made my 13yo son read this after a particularly moody visit to see family. I was DONE with his attitude. While some of it only stuck for a few days, he does make eye contact now and doesn't slouch at the table. If we have another horrible experience, he'll be reading it again!

Great book! Used info in this book for my Junior GS troop -"social butterfly" badge. Girls are 9 and 10, lots of information for them on manners, social settings, conversations, school and cliques. Small, maybe 2 page section on sex and avoiding pressures from peers, nothing too graphic.

Great book for teen from the Post family. The book covers modern communication and has the underlying "consideration of other" which was part of Emily Post mantra.

My 13 year old daughter read this and when I asked her for her feedback for this review she said "tell them it's great". That may be accurate, or perhaps she's just being polite. Either way, 10/10, she would read again (and she will, just to drive home the importance of ongoing politeness).
