The ALSO Instructor Course is designed to teach current ALSO Providers the skills and knowledge needed to effectively facilitate lectures and workstations at an ALSO Course. Successful completion of this course, as well as evaluation and recommendation by an advisory faculty member at an ALSO Course, is required to become an ALSO approved instructor.
A limited number of spaces are available for individuals who complete the Instructor Course at this location to be immediately observed teaching in the ALSO Course the very next day. The AAFP has reviewed ALSO Instructor Course and deemed it acceptable for up to 3.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 9/23/2024 to 9/23/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AMA/AAFP Equivalency - Providers may choose to include the following in addition to the AAFP credit statement:
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
