Virgin Hotel Dallas: A Peek Inside this new Dallas hotel!

At the Virgin Hotel Dallas, it doesn’t take long to figure that you’re going to get a totally unique and different experience staying here, compared to other hotels. The attention to detail is one of the things that stand out the most when staying there.

This boutique hotel is designed for entertainment day and night, so it’s perfect for adults. If you’re planning a night away and staycation only, be sure to plan ahead so you can get a family member to take care of your kids or plan something if they’re away at Summer Camp.

We were hosted for our stay, but our opinions are all our own.

There are also some great options to enjoy a date night out off-property as it’s so close to Uptown and Downtown Dallas and easy to get to from Dallas Love Field airport.

Parking

The easiest way to park is to use their valet parking, which is available 24/7 in the front driveway. Overnight parking is $46/night plus tax. Day parking is $20/day plus tax on Friday – Sunday, and $10/day Monday – Thursday.

Self-parking is not available. We did not see any other good options close by.

The Rooms at Virgin Hotel Dallas

At Virgin Hotel Dallas, you don’t stay in a room, you stay in a Chamber. All Chambers are 2-room suites. With a rolling door, you will find a separate part of the room, which has separate hanging space areas, a dedicated dressing table with a large mirror, and excellent lighting for your beauty needs.

A separate toilet and large shower with a fun rain feature are really a great addition.

The detail they pay attention to is what really makes a difference.

We found a yoga mat in the room ready to use and a low table – the perfect height for a laptop (enjoy free wi-fi too) or to enjoy room service, with a comfortable sofa to sit on.

The room we were hosted in was a corner chamber king, with great views out of both windows, towards the Margaret Hunt Bridge and Downtown Dallas.

If you want to upgrade, you can choose one of their suites or even Sir Richard’s Flat, taking up 1400 square feet on the 16th floor for an extra nightly fee.

Like many large hotel chains, they also offer a keyless option. If you download their app, “Lucy”, you can use your mobile device as your key, order room service, control the thermostat in your chamber or request an extra pillow.

The TV is also equipped with all the channels and logins to the main streaming apps.

Meal at Commons Club Virgin Hotel Dallas

Places to eat inside the Virgin Hotel Dallas

The main restaurant. the “Commons Club” inside the hotel has a really delectable menu, and the food was absolutely memorable. We talked about our meal for days afterward!

Some guests told us they were simply there to enjoy a date night meal and were not even staying at the hotel.

Close to the restaurant is a really cool bar where we enjoyed some cute cocktails, which also has a wrap-around outdoor patio with cool furniture and seating.

The eclectic furniture and decor really made a statement!

The Pool Club opens every Summer

The Pool Club is a private 4th-floor rooftop with two types of private cabanas (that you can book ahead of time), comfortable sun loungers, and spaces to enjoy time with friends (day passes are available 72 hours ahead) and other guests. Do not miss the scenic views of the city skyline!

Reservations are recommended ahead of time so you can enjoy full access until 8 pm.

After you’ve enjoyed an evening cocktail at the Commons Club, if you want to venture outside of the hotel to eat, we recommend you try Meddlesome Moth, for lunch or dinner (they also have a really pretty patio) and for breakfast, Ascension Coffee in the Design District (Sundays get very busy so allow some extra time to get seated and enjoy your meal)

Other great choices include WITS Steakhouse (for a great date night dinner) and Delucca Gaucho Pizza and Wine.

All of these choices are within walking distance.
