Opening ceremonies kick off 2024 Alpenfest in Gaylord

OTSEGO COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Opening ceremonies took place Tuesday for this year's Alpenfest.

On Tuesday night the presentation of the contestants for this year's Alpenfest queen and the unveiling of this year's pin design will take place.

Also on Tuesday night, the annual Burning of the Böögg will begin at 10 p.m., where you can watch your worries go up in smoke.

Alpenfest runs through July 13.
