Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to discuss new book at National Writers Series in Traverse City

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's new book "True Gretch" is now on bookstore shelves and she will be taking the stage for the National Writers Series in Traverse City later this month.

The National Writers Series announced the bonus author event Tuesday.

Gov. Whitmer will be joined on stage with Bob Sutherland, owner of Cherry Republic.

The event will take place July 31 at 8 p.m. at the City Opera House.

NWS offers in-person tickets to "Friends" first, those who have donated $50 or more to the nonprofit in the last 12 months.

General public ticket sales start on Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m.
