Cadillac woman arrested for meth possession and carrying a revolver

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WBPN/WGTU) -- A Cadillac woman has been arrested early Monday morning for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and carrying a revolver, according to Michigan State Police.

Maria Lynn Seals, 36, has been arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on the following charges:

  • One count of possession of methamphetamine
  • One count of carrying a concealed weapon
  • One count of felony firearm

Seals was given a $50,000 cash surety bond.

At 12:20 a.m. on Monday, troopers stopped a vehicle for an "equipment violation" on Mitchell Street, near Stimson Street, in Cadillac, state police said in a news release.

"During the traffic stop a trooper observed a glass pipe sticking out of the pant pocket of the driver, 35-year-old Maria Lynn Seals from Cadillac," state police said. "Further investigation revealed she was in possession of methamphetamine and a loaded .22 caliber revolver."

Seals is due back in court on July 23 a 2 p.m.
