CHRISTIE PITS pARK

sundays
July 7 TO august 25, 2024

A summertime tradition in Toronto’s west end, Sunday evenings at Christie Pits are the place to be. From July 7 through August 25, Toronto Outdoor Picture Show looks forward to presenting its 2024 programme titled “On the Job, a series of films that highlights a variety of workers and their backdrops on the big screen, all summer long: shop-keepers (Empire Records, I Like Movies) and manual labourers (Perfect Days), faith preachers (Sister Act) and factory workers (Modern Times), street workers (Jafar Panahi’s Taxi) and frontline game-changers (Someone Lives Here). Whether conventional, fantastical, or radical, On the Job considers the ways our work impacts our lives and the way we form communities with the people we spend our workdays (or nights) with.

You can support Toronto Outdoor Picture Show's free, accessible cultural programming with a tax-deductible donation.
