College student stress and mental health: Examination of stigmatic views on mental health counseling

This study investigated the effect of college student stigmatic views on mental health
counseling use while controlling for stress and mental health. Results revealed three key
findings. As students' stigmatic views increased, they were less willing to use counseling
services. Greater depression levels predicted greater willingness to use counseling service.
More adaptive coping methods increased willingness to use counseling services. These
