This edition of the LISREL 7 manual is designed for reference use with all versions of the program: Mainframe, UNIX, MAC, and PC. In addition to digests of the main chapters of LISREL 7: A Guide to the Program and Applications (J�reskog & S�rbom, 1989), it contains detailed command summaries and an overview of the program input and output. All of this material is contained in Chapter 2. Chapter 1 summarizes the LISREL model and analytical procedures. Chapters 3 through 6 present sample problem setups for the various LISREL models in the one-group case. Chapter 7 considers dichotomous, ordinal and nonnormal data, and Chapter 8 suggests methods for constraining parameters, calculating power, and discusses problems with equivalent models. Chapter 9 introduces the multiple group case. Chapter 10 discusses models with mean structures. Finally, Chapter 11 contains hints for handling hard-to-analyze models.

The present guide and the PRELIS 2 User's Reference Guide (J�reskog & S�rbom, 1996) contain all the information required for successful and productive use of PRELIS and/or LISREL 7.
