An unlikely movie star captivated New York indie-film fans this past week.
Daisy Ridley, of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” is a producer of much smaller project “The Eagle Huntress,” a documentary about a Mongolian girl named Aisholpan, who follows in her male relatives’ footsteps by learning how to hunt with trained eagles.
Aisholpan, 15, was at a Cinema Society screening and after-party at Jimmy at the James hotel in Tribeca with her dad.
A cousin helped translate for well-wishers still teary-eyed from the film. No word from her bird.
