Nikki Finke posts first entries on new fictional entertainment blog

Former Hollywood hit woman Nikki Finke has posted the first entries on her new blog Hollywood Dementia, a site for short fiction about the entertainment biz.

Among its first batch of authors were Finke, Peter Bogdanovich’s daughter Antonia and — some insiders were surprised to find — Tom Cruise’s power lawyer Bert Fields.

Fields’ tale, “Studio Story,” is a pulpy yarn about veteran studio boss Jake Simon being forced out of his job, in part because his bitter ex gets her hands on his class-A voting stock.

The 2,700-word story ends with a surprise twist about who’s really behind Jake’s ouster.

But Fields isn’t new as a novelist: Earlier this year, he published “Destiny: A Novel of Napoleon & Josephine” through his Marmont Lane Books, “set against a sweeping background of intrigue, terror and war . . . [A] story of loyalty, betrayal and tempestuous love.”

Fields isn’t Hollywood’s only legal eagle who moonlights.

Skip Brittenham, who’s repped Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks, wrote graphic novel “Anomaly” in 2012 and co-wrote “Shifter” in 2013.
