Sony honcho Amy Pascal skips out on Golden Globes

Sony Pictures honcho Amy Pascal was missing at the Golden Globes, and sources whispered the embattled studio head would have been there if it hadn’t been for the hacking scandal.

Hollywood insiders said it could have been awkward to see Pascal with cameras trained on her as others laughed at Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s jokes about the hack.

“It’s still no laughing matter,” said a high-ranking studio exec.

Sony had two nominations, including Quvenzhané Wallis in “Annie,” but walked away empty-handed. But another industry source said Pascal wasn’t avoiding the awards.

“She has been out to many events and premieres over the past month to support the studio’s films, filmmakers and talent,” the source said.

In Pascal’s place was Sony Pictures’ worldwide music head Lia Vollack, as the studio was nominated in the music category for “Annie.”

Fey and Poehler joked the night would honor “all of the movies that North Korea was OK with.” They brought out Margaret Cho playing a “North Korean journalist.”
