Now that we're fully into summer, you might be thinking about taking on some epic outdoor challenges. If your current smartwatch is lacking when it comes to tracking your adventures, today's deal at Amazon could provide the perfect upgrade.

As of June 18, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (49mm, GPS + cellular) is on sale for $719 at Amazon, marked down from the usual price of $799 for this model. That's a 10% discount or savings of $80. We're lucky to live in a time when fitness trackers can give us useful insight into our daily lives, and the Apple Watch models consistently offer top-of-the-line features. Are there great fitness trackers out there that cost less than $700? Absolutely. Will they pack in the features we find with the Apple Watch Ultra 2? Unlikely.

For starters, the Apple Watch Ultra is built for durability, made with a corrosion-resistant titanium case. It also uses Apple's brightest watch display yet, with a retina display that's easier to see in bright sunlight. Designing this model with adventure-seekers in mind, Apple added in water-resistance of up to 100 meters in depth.

The compass app can be especially helpful during your summer adventures, with details that include elevation, incline, longitude, and latitude. You can also mark waypoints within the compass to have easier access to backtracking while on your way home.
