Modia Cook

In her second stint with KUOW, Modia serves as KUOW's Database Coordinator for the Digital, Audience and Revenue Tech team.

While Modia has worked in the field of law for over 15 years, her education and heart has always been in communication, the arts, and design. A believer in education and "constant" learning, she holds a B.F.A. in Visual Technologies and Photography, Certificates in Digital Marketing and Business Administration, an Associates in Marketing, and lived for a year abroad in the Netherlands to learn about International Business and Dutch Art.

In addition to English, Modia speaks "retail" Japanese and has a 2nd-grade (an "eavesdropping") level of Dutch. She lives in Seattle and is a proud member of AIGA and of the National Nordic Museum. Modia's friends describe her as slightly quirky, art-crafty, and a huge fan of costume dramas.
