Cathy Faulkner

As a longtime listener and member of KUOW, Cathy is honored to join the broadcast team as an announcer. As an announcer on-air, Cathy is your local contact between NPR and KUOW programming and news.

Before joining KUOW in 2023, Cathy already had over 40 years of broadcast experience in the Seattle metro area. Most of her time was spent as evening announcer and music director at KISW-FM (1981--2001) with short stints at KRock Seattle (now JackFM) and KJR-FM. Cathy also owns her own voiceover business.

Cathy is a graduate of the University of Washington, earning a B.A. in Speech Communication.

Outside of work, Cathy is always eager to embrace new adventures and experiences. She enjoys the outdoors, music, her garden, and spending time with friends and family.
