SAN ANTONIO - About 5 trucks are heading to the Gulf Coast to deploy to Wharton, Texas packed with supplies for those who may have lost everything due to Beryl.

These Salvation Army teams have stocked up with food and supplies and started their hours-long journey to Wharton, Texas.

Rapid response units with a fully stocked kitchens are ready to serve hundreds for days.

Wharton is considered the gateway to the Gulf Coast and is about 50 miles south of Houston. New Braunfels Salvation Army will also be going to Wharton.
