La Bocciofila
On the occasion of Milano Design Week 2024 at Careof spaces, AUT, Studio GISTO and Hypereden present La Bocciofila: a declaration of love, a tribute to one of the most popular pastimes among the youth of the last three generations.
La Bocciofila recreates one of these places of leisure and rest with the intention of restoring the authentic flavor that animates these recreational environments, often mistreated and excluded from contemporary architectural and design debate.
La Bocciofila is the result of a decade of research conducted on the periphery of work, in the sanctuaries of Milanese leisure; those places where play and sociability merge to become an inclusive and intergenerational contemporary ritual. Thus Careof is transformed into a space of play, where the public can test their sporting skills, relax, or simply pause, just like in a “sports bar.”
In this context the projects Frantoio Sociale (Studio GISTO in collaboration with Hund Studio), Glass Future Lab (AUT Design Collective in collaboration with Elia Camboni, Pietro Coda and Emma Scarafiotti), Cantiere Aperto (Hypereden in collaboration with Frantoio Sociale) and an intervention in the space by Silvia Sfligiotti were presented.
The visual identity for the event, designed by Pietro Coda uses Baustraße (designed by Fantasia Type and available on Future Fonts) and Suisse BP Int’l (by Swiss Typefaces).
