Now that Ted Cruz and John Kasich have dropped out of the race to be the Republican nominee for President, the rest of the world is slowly coming to terms with the reality that Donald Trump has a real shot at being the party’s candidate for the 2016 election. No one could have predicted this, right? Well, wrong. It turns out one of the most controversial political commentators out there, Ann Coulter, called this all the way back in June of 2015.

Today, an old clip from HBO’s lefty-leaning political gabfest Real Time with Bill Maher has been making the online rounds, a panel conversation from June 19, 2015 that featured roundtable guests Rep. Luis Gutiérrez, Ann Coulter, Joy Reid and Matt Lewis. The clip jumps right into the drama, with Bill Maher asking Coulter which Republican candidate she thinks has the best chance of winning the general election. Coulter’s response?

Of the declared ones, right now? Donald Trump.

Check out the clip below to see for yourself:

Coulter barely has time to breath after giving her answer before the studio audience responds with gasps and laughter. Now that Cruz has dropped out of the election, a Trump-led Republican campaign is looking to be less of a novelty and more of a sure thing. It says a lot about our current political climate when a prediction that was met with studio-wide laughter in 2015 is an actual political reality in 2016.

Maher then goes on to mention that Coulter once said about the 2012 election if the Republican party nominated Mitt Romney, then they would lose, which is … exactly what happened. Then Coulter goes on to say — in 2015 — that Bernie Sanders would be a harder Democratic opponent to run against than Hillary, which was and remains to be a widely held belief. Basically, Ann Coulter may or may not be psychic. Please stop making predictions, Coulter. It’s starting to scare us.
