Katie Maloney Admits It's "Hard" Running Something About Her Without Ariana Madix
Vanderpump Rules' Ariana Madix is temporarily in Fiji filming Love Island USA.
More than a year after signing the lease on their space, Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix officially opened their sandwich shop, Something About Her, in May 2024. Since then, Ariana has jetted off to Fiji to host Love Island USA Season 6 on Peacock, and Katie has been in Los Angeles keeping an eye on the eatery.
During an appearance on the July 2 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Katie revealed why it's been challenging for her to work on the business while her partner is away.
How is Katie Maloney's business relationship with Ariana Madix?
Katie said that although she does "talk to Ariana all the time" to "update her on everything that's going on" with the sandwich shop, it can be difficult because "there's a massive time difference" between Los Angeles and Fiji (it's 19 hours, to be exact).
"I try to keep her in the loop of everything that's going on," the Vanderpump Rules cast member continued. "But, it's hard sometimes because I want her to be around and experiencing everything, and the fun little things that I might forget to mention in our conversations. We both missed Diane Keaton, which sucked."

While Ariana is away, the Disrespectfully podcast co-host tries to get to Something About her about once a day.
"We have a manager, and we have staff," she explained about who operates the sandwich shop and wine bar on a day-to-day basis. "I go almost every day."
Because Katie is juggling other responsibilities and making sure she has time for herself, she can't always make it to Something About her every single day.
"I mean, I've been trying to give myself personal time. It's just good for me to do that," she added, noting that she was actually in a pilates class with Diane Keaton visited. "And also with having podcasts and other stuff going on, like sometimes I just can't make it in."
Distance is also a factor as well, as Katie's apartment is in Valley Village, while the sandwich shop is in West Hollywood.
"It's just not down the street, it's over the hill, so, sometimes, it just doesn't physically make sense to go there," she concluded on the podcast.
