I ordered this set after seeing a really gross video where someone grows mold, bacteria and fungus in a Petri dish from a swipe of a “clean” makeup brush. For obvious reasons I decided to swap mine out and start fresh.
Instead of going to hunt down new brushes and spending a fortune, I decided to check Amazon and the quality seems great. I was not expecting these to be so similar to the better brushes in my collection, but they are dense, tightly packed, and super soft just like a $40+ brush if not better. In my initial inspection of the brushes I did not experience much shedding. A couple of them lost a fiber or two. I like that the brush tips are light in color so I can make sure they are clean. The holder is very convenient both for display and organizing and for travel purposes.
Compared to a different cheaper set I also ordered, this provides a lot more value because all the brushes have purpose, and this also comes with the holder. This set comes with more of the larger brushes like a large tapered brush, stippling brush, and a medium powder brush, when compared to cheaper sets.
The only brushes this set lacks are a very large powder brush, eyebrow wand and eyelash comb, which can always be purchased separately. I prefer disposable tools for brow and lash and rarely ever use a large powder brush, so it doesn’t bother me.
Overall I would recommend this set to amateur or professional makeup users. The brushes that it comes with are suitable for 99% of everyday makeup needs and it was very affordable.
