Great way to bring your cat along for a walk!
This Astronaut backpack for Kitty is amazing!! Our cat, named Kitty, loves to go outside in our backyard and seems interested when I take our dogs for a walk. I figured she would enjoy coming along on walks, but there was no way she would keep up and actually walk on a leash. This backpack is a great idea if you want to take your cat along for the fun!The first day we go this, we put one of her blankets inside of it so she would know that this is her backpack. She never jumped into on her own, so we placed her inside and zipped up the bag. I then put the backpack on and walked around our backyard with her for about 5 minuted. She never once cried or meowed, so I assume she enjoyed it.The next day I put her into the bag with no struggles and took her on a 20 minute walk with my neighbor and her dogs. We walked around a trail near our house and she seemed to enjoy the new adventure. She repositioned in the bag maybe 3 times. I could tell when she would stand up and turn around, but again, never once cried or meowed as if she wanted to get out. My neighbor kept looking at her through the bubble and she was always looking around and just taking in the scene outside.My next step is to take her along when I am walking our 2 dogs. I wanted to get her used to just being in the bag for longer amounts of time without moving her around too much. When I take our dogs for a walk, it's usually about a 45 min walk around the neighborhood. I am slowing adding more time with her in the bag to see how long she really likes being in there. I don't know if she could ever do an actual hike that consisted of a few hours, but 20-60 minutes seems ideal.I also wouldn't take her for walks when the weather got warmer. The bag does have air holes, but I don't think a hot summer day inside that bag would be a good idea. I took her out both times when the weather was in the upper 40's with a light breeze, so I know she wasn't cold since her blanket in the bottom of the bag was fleece.Overall, cute bag and Kitty seems to approve!

I read some of the negative reviews, but got it anyways. It is so adorable.!!! My kitten and dog up to 7 lbs fit perfectly in the bag. Will NOT fit bigger pets. High quality construction, the entire bottom half of side is mesh and top has holes with rivets. There are 2 side pockets to keep leash and poop bags etc. The backpack straps are comfy for me, but might be snug for a big man. The entire bag is super light and I got the leopard print, which hides any minor scratches perfectly. My animals got used to it right away and I got so many compliments. Three things to note: 1) because of the dome, the bag is top front heavy, so be careful when you put the bag down. I put it on a chair with the backpack straps around the back of a chair, problem solved. In the car, I strap the bag in with seat belt; 2) a smart pet maybe able to open the zipper of the bag, the zipper pulls are designed with a small loop for locks, I just put a small clip through it to keep it secure; 3) the clear dome does scratch easily, so be careful with how you place it, I had the empty bag in the trunk and found 3 scratches on the dome after it rubbed agained something hard in there. But I would highly recommend this anyways, especially for the price.
